Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat is the turnaround time for production? Our standard production time is 2-3 business days. Digital Print Solutions offers rush services, as well–please contact us for additional costs involving same day or next day printing and shipping. Can I see samples of your product before I place an order? Yes you can. If you would like to see the materials we offer before placing an order, please call us to have a general or a fabric sample packet sent out. What file formats do you perfer? The files we prefer are vector based ai or eps (Adobe Illustrator, version CS2 or lower). Make sure all text has been converted to outlines or curves. A high resolution (600-800 dpi) jpeg, pdf, or tif may also work. Please flatten all layers when submitting documents from Photoshop. When submitting artwork, files must be ready to print with no bleeds. We do print to the edge, but still recommend that you don’t have any important information (like small text) within an inch of the edge of your design. The document should not have objects extending outside the dimensions of the area that will be printed, this may cause problems when resizing and preparing the document for printing. Make sure all fonts have been created to outlines. Will there be any color variation when my artwork is printed? Color tone shifting may occur if file is submitted in RGB or other color spaces. If there is a specific PMS color required for your project please let us know so we can verify that you have the proper color mix in your file. We print in 4-color CMYK and 6-color CMYKLCLM, please keep this in mind when submitting files. If you submit a file in RBG, color shifting will occur when we switch the file to CMYK (like in the images below). This can also lead to loss of effects. We do check files before we print, but to ensure the highest quality of prints, please submit files in CMYK.
How wide of material can you print on? This depends on the product, please contact customer service for more details. However we can print banners and billboards up to 16' (feet) wide without having to seem the material. What type of inks do you use? Our inks are UV Protected EcoSol (Roland printers) and hot solvent or true solvent (HP Scitex printer). All of the inks used, have UV protection in them, giving them a life of at least 3 years. Will I see a proof of my artwork before it is produced? Yes, we will send out a proof (which is normally a JPEG or PDF sent through e-mail, showing what the design looks like). Do you offer drop shipping? Yes, all you have to do is specify that you want your shippment blind shipped or drop shipped.
