We offer wall decals made from either a 3-millimeter standard tack adhesive vinyl or a 3-millimeter extreme tack adhesive vinyl.

The standard tack vinyl provides UV protection and scratch resistance, ensuring durability for up to 5 years outdoors when applied and cared for properly.

Alternatively, the extreme tack vinyl is tailored for low-energy surfaces, providing superior adhesion and featuring UV protection and scratch resistance through its lamination. When applied and maintained correctly, expect a lifespan of 3–5 years with this vinyl material. All our wall decals boast a sophisticated matte finish.

Wall Graphic Cut Options

Die-Cut decal

Die-Cut

Die-cut means that we are cutting through both the vinyl decal material and the paper backing. This cut type doesn't leave any material around the decal. Another way to look at it is to think of it like a "cookie cutter." Your decals are all individually cut out to the contour of your design, so you have individually cut decals with no paper material around the design.

* Please note, Back slit (crack and peel) is only available on decals 2" x 2" up to 12" x 12" *

If selected on sizes larger than 12" x 12"  your decals will not be backslit

Kiss Cut Decal

Kiss-Cut

Kiss-cut means we are only cutting through the vinyl layer ("decal material") and not cutting through the paper backing, leaving a paper material border around your decal. When you choose a kiss-cut decal, you will have extra material around your decal for easy peeling.

Transfer Cut Decal

Transfer-Cut

Transfer cut option means that we will be cutting the vinyl decal material to a specified shape, graphic, or text and then removing or “picking” any excess or unwanted vinyl material from your design leaving no vinyl background on your decal. We then place a transfer tape over the top of the remaining pieces of vinyl. This tape is what holds all the individual cut pieces of your decal design once you remove the paper backing from your decal. It also allows you to place multiple individual pieces of vinyl decal material on your desired surface cleanly and evenly.

* Vector File (EPS or Ai – Adobe Illustrator) format needed for Transfer Cut decals. *

Transfer Cut / Pick Charge

Transfer cut price includes 6 standard picks with a Maximum of 25 picks per decal.

Additional picks are $0.04 per pick depending on difficulty/intricacy.

Intricately cut decals will be custom quoted based on difficulty and time required to pick.

For more information check out our transfer cut guidelines.

Artwork Specification

Files that print best are:

  • .eps
  • .pdf

We can also print 300 dpi or higher resolution files:

  • .tif
  • .jpg
  • .png
  • .psd*

File Tips

  • Set up size proportionate to exact size product as your order.
  • All decal files require a minimum of 1/16" bleed.
  • Convert all text to outlines.
  • Make sure no elements are selected for "Overprint"
  • *We recommend choosing rich black (100-100-100-100) over CMYK (0-0-0-100). Rich black is true black — it has a less charcoal gray appearance *
  • The cut line should be indicated with a vector path/line.
  • * PSD file(s) layers should not be flattened or merged.

We print in four color CMYK or six color CMYKLcLm. Please keep this in mind when submitting files for printing as color tone shifting may happen if file is submitted in RGB format. If there is a specific PMS color you need, please specify that to us when submitting your order so we can help you verify that the proper color mix is used (vector artwork only).

Customer supplied files are printed as they are received so we cannot guarantee color, clarity or final output as we are just printing the supplied files and have not set them up for printing.

If you are concerned about the file output we will be happy to do a test print for a nominal fee prior to final order if requested.

All of our printers are calibrated daily to International Color Consortium (ICC) coloring profile standards to ensure accurate color production.

Wall Graphics

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What materials are these graphics printed on?

A: Our wall decals are crafted using either a 3-millimeter standard tack adhesive vinyl material or a 3-millimeter extreme tack adhesive vinyl material. The standard tack vinyl provides UV protection and scratch resistance, ensuring durability and longevity for up to 5 years outdoors when applied and maintained correctly. On the other hand, the extreme tack vinyl is specifically designed for low-energy surfaces, boasting superior adhesion and offering UV protection and scratch resistance through its lamination. Expect a lifespan of 3–5 years when this vinyl material is applied and maintained properly.

Please note: wall graphic materials may not stick to every type of paint. This is due to the paint chemical compositions, wall texture, paint finishes and proper cure time. Read our article, It’s the Paint: Why Wall Decals Won’t Stick.

To ensure your decal or sticker will adhere to your wall, order a sample packet and try it out.

Q: Why won’t my wall graphics stick?

A: In short, blame the paint, not yourself. Some paints contain something called no-VOC or low-VOC components. Which basically just means it is more fire retardant, and smudge proof. The higher the VOC in something, the easier it is to burn.

The industrial manufacturer 3M says, ”Paints that are low in Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are now the most commonly available wall paint. These newer paint formulations are being driven by laws intended to help protect the environment – something we can all appreciate. However, the new paint formulations have reduced how well a film’s adhesive can adhere to a painted wall. “

Also according to 3M, “With the rapidly changing  formulations of paints, there is no single film or adhesive from any film manufacturer that works best on all painted surfaces.”

There you have it.  Wall decals may also not stick due to the wall texture and temperature fluctuations. Test it out by ordering a sample packet.

Q: Will these decals ruin walls or paint?

A: With proper application and removal, standard tack vinyl wall decals shouldn't damage your walls, paint, or wallpaper. However, be cautious with extreme tack adhesive wall decals, as they may cause damage upon removal. These high tack wall decals are intended for surfaces that require extra adhesion due to high VOC paints.

It's worth noting that leaving a decal on a wall for an extended period may result in some paint peeling when you remove it.

Q: What are the different cut options for my graphic?

A: These wall coverings are available in die-cut, kiss-cut as well as transfer cut.

Q:  What colors are these products printed in?

A: These wall coverings are printed using full CMYK colors. If you need a custom color or color match, then contact our customer service team.

Q: Is this product repositionable?

A: Our wall decals may be repositionable at the time of application. However, once the decal is fully applied it will maintain its position and cannot be reused or repositioned.

Q: Will this graphic reflect light and show a glare on my wall?

A: No, these graphics are designed to reduce glare from lights.
